In this short film the Biketour cycles through Minsk in Belarus, where it is forbidden to ride your bike on the road! Mixed up with the different curiosities that crossed our way, such as a youth-brass-band on the beach or a bison in the polish forest.

ACROBATICS
In this video the participants try the freakbikes of Radi Vidi Pats in Latvia. Different varieties of tallbikes or a tandem where you cycle face to face are pretty strange cycling-expieriences. Or other balance and body control challenges such as pushing another cyclist with the fully loaded trailer up a super steep hill. Or just turnig in circles.

But also we realised, that so far, filming wasn’t considered in our photosharing-concept. For some people it is a big difference whether they are filmed and then appear online or if it’s just photos of them. So we added another option about filming to the sheet, that is passed around during the tour.

During 2016s tour some of us made some film-recordings. We collected all of the footage and I(Lukas) cut some short clips. We then realised, that there are quiet a lot films about the biketour online and started a Ecotopia Group on Vimeo.

We reached the our first host in the latvian capital shortly before midnight after our hardcore cycling day. It was the Kreicbike-workshop. A place where loads of crazy custom- and freakbikes are built. Also motorized ones. It was an impressive place with tons of tools and equipment. Hippiefestival mit seltsamen Ansichten
Hallo werte Blogleserinnen und Leser! Lukas berichtet euch aus Lettland: Uns wurde ein Festival empfohlen, eine Zusammenkunft verschiedener Eco-Communities in Mazirbe am Meer. Klingt nicht schlecht, dachten wir uns und haben kurzer Hand unseren Plan etwas umgestellt. Da wir sowieso mehr Rad fahren wollten, wir waren ja schießlich auf einer Radtour, kam uns dieser Umweg sehr gelegen. Am Donnerstag Abend sind wir angekommen.
