June is here and biketour is just around the corner! Here we describe the projects that we will visit on this year’s biketour.
Be prepared for colder temperatures (especially while camping and sleeping), almost nightless nights, great people and cool projects; forests, gardens and a forest garden… bike kitchens, cultural centers and camping in the nature. Hope to see you on the tour!
Note the update on the route plan: we have one more stop just before Oslo and visiting Lillehammer has been cancelled. Tour will end in Oslo in September.
Bygdeå: hosts on a vegetable farm, 13th of June (evening)-18th of June (morning)
In Bygdeå we will be hosted by a small collective living on a farm, with self sufficient gardening (which is not so common up this north!)
We will prepare for the biketour as well as help with any work on the farm.Note that this host is strictly vegan. Also no alcohol or smoking allowed on the farm.
19th & 20th of June we will celebrate Midsummer in Ubmeje (Umeå) while camping in the nature and enjoying the (almost) nightless nights. No host here.
Skogsnäs, 28th of June (evening)–1st of July (morning)
We will visit and be hosted by Skogsnäs which is an alternative community which originates from being a farm land (of mostly forest) and is now a small village with its own cultural center, kindergarten and more.
Private location
After Skogsnäs we will visit a private location (staying a few days there). More information on this host will be only told to people on the tour. Note that this location and name will be kept private and no pictures are allowed here.
Uppsala, Skogsträdgården, 8th of July (evening)–10th of July (morning)
After taking train from Sundsvall to Uppsala, we will visit a public forest garden (skogsträdgården) in Uppsala while camping in the nature. In Uppsala we will have access to sauna, shower and laundry room, thanks to a very friendly volunteer!
Stockholm, 11th of July (evening)–16th of July (morning)
In Stockholm we expect to welcome more people joining the biketour so we have time to prepare ourselves. (Of course people are free to join on any other times as well.)
Here we will visit Solidaria Social Center which is ”a space for solidarity and for organizing outside and free of capitalist and state structures”. Possibly also visiting Bagarmossens cykelkök (bike kitchen) and kulturhuset (culture house) Cyklopen.

21st of July: Possible to stop by the Cykelköket (bike kitchen) in Norrköping which is open on Tuesday evenings. (No host here.)
Linköping, Folkträdgården, 22th of July (evening) – 25th of July (morning)
In Linköping we will be hosted by a communal garden (folkträdgården) where we camp outside and can help and interact with the communal gardening.
Jönköping, 28th of July (evening) – 30th of July (morning)
We will visit Jönköping where we can visit Cykelköket (Bike kitchen) and possibly something else too…
Host to be confirmed but preparing to also camp in the nature.
1st-14th of August: We have the Childish Weeks while camping in the nature. For more details, check out the Childish Weeks -page.
Avgrunnsdalen (Knus Krigsmaskinen) estimated time 27th of August (evening) – 31st of August (morning)
We will visit and be hosted by a squatted house in the forest of Avgrunnsdalen, Hurummarka natural area, where an explosives factory is supposed to be built. More info on the blog of Knus Krigsmaskinen.
Oslo estimated time 1st of September (evening) – 5th of September (tour ends!)
In Oslo we wish to visit Blitz, which is self-driven youth house and center for radical leftwing activism. More info on this project on their website.
