Childish Weeks: 1–14 August in Southern Sweden

So far around 15 parents have gotten in contact with us and expressed interest in joining the Childish Weeks with their 1–3 children each. This is much more interest that we have expected! We are excited to see how this experiment will turn out! Announcement: Biketour 2026 Region plan and Call for projects

We are excited to announce the region of Ecotopia Biketour 2026 …………………… Sápmi and Scandinavia It has been repeatedly wished for in the last years to have the biketour in that part of Europe, so here it is. The rough plan includes swedish- and norwegian-occupied Sápmi as well as so-called Sweden, Norway and Denmark, perhaps Northern Germany too! This year, besides biketouring in Scandinavia, we’d like to visit and connect with Sámi projects and villages. Announcing the Ecotopia Childish Weeks

For many years we were wondering what is the reason that people with children are very rarely joining Ecotopia Biketour, while on other biketours this seems to be different. Now some of us have become parents ourselves, and it starts to seem that the biggest reason why there are no children on the Biketour is that there are no children on the Biketour. Biketouring with children requires additional effort, preparation, skills and confidence, and in addition to managing the daily life on the tour itself, it is particularly challenging to get the right equipment to carry both children and luggage…

Holding Ourselves Accountable

For the last two years, 2023 and 2024, something regretful happened that we would like to share, take responsibility for, publicly apologize for, and discuss how we want to work towards building an EBT (Ecotopia Biketour) community where these kinds of situations won’t happen again. The 2024 crisis started when the EBT had planned to visit a project, and only a few days in advance (because our own fault) realized the project would require all participants to register with their legal name and join their association. Slow Start with the SunRide System!

Grab your bikes and your instruments! This year the route will start with not just one but two biketours! Ecotopia will join forces with SunRide System, a band of musicians and street artists. With their sound systems on cargobikes they’re touring and bringing along music everywhere they go. They do concerts in various different localities and communities, as well as paid gigs to fund their journey. The registration form for the 2025 bike tour is now open! Register to help us estimate the number of participants, let us know of any needs beforehand, and be added to the signal group chat. You’re also invited to participate in bike sharing and traveling together to the tour. We made some changes to the dates and route, you can find the most up to date route on our route page. Announcing the 2025 route!

We’re excited to announce the 2025 route! This year, we will start in Switzerland, spend most of the time in France, and end in Belgium. As always, you can join the tour for any part but we recommend joining for at least one or two weeks. We are in contact with some exciting projects! Appel à projets dans le nord de la france

Nous sommes un collectif auto-géré et itinérant et nous sommes à la recherche d’un lieu pour nous accueillir quelques jours lors de notre prochain voyage en vélo. Co voyage commencera dans le Nord de la France (peut-être bien en Bretagne) et se déroulera de fin juin à fin septembre 2025. Cette année, notre voyage s’organise autour de la lutte anti-raciste et décoloniale, c’est pourquoi nous serions particulièrement intéressé·es de rencontrer des personnes concernées ou engagées dans ces luttes.
