Lithuanian visa information
COUNTRIES WHO’S CITIZENS DO NOT REQUIRE VISAS FOR TRAVEL TO LITHUANIA:
All EU states, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City State, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania.
Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, Guatemala, Honduras, Israel, Japan, USA, Canada, Costa Rica, Malaysia Federation, Mexico, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, South Korea, Salvador, Singapore, Uruguay, Venezuela.
COUNTRIES WHOSE CITIZENS ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE LITHUANIAN VISAS WITHOUT AN INVITATION:
Republic of Belarus (max. 30 days)*, Republic of Ecuador, Republic of Kazakhstan (max. 30 days)*, Taiwan (max. 30 days)*, The South African Republic, Russian Federation (max. 30 days)*, Moldova (no consular fee), Ukraine (no consular fee).
* Visas shall be issued for the indicated period upon presentation of evidence that there are means of subsistence for arrival and stay in Lithuania - 40 EUR a day (traveler’s checks, credit cards with relevant bank receipt). This requirement is not applicable provided visas are issued for the citizens of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation for no longer than for 10 days period.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT IN ORDER TO GET A VISA:
Visas are issued at diplomatic missions or consular offices of the Republic of Lithuania abroad.
In order to get a visa an alien must submit:
- a valid travel document;
- an established form of application for a visa of the Republic of Lithuania;
- one photo of 35x45 mm, corresponding to the age of an alien;
- the receipt of the paid consular fee;
- a valid document certifying his/her health insurance;
Additional documents for issuing a certain type of visa shall be submitted.
