When and how to arrange visa?

If you are interested in joining the biketour it is wise to check if you need to arrange visa for Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey (depends of course on when you will join us). Sometimes this will take up to 30 days to arrange. You can arrange visas at the embassies or consulates of Turkey, Bulgaria and Serbia in your home country or get information at Ministries of Foreign Affairs.

Internet links of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs are:

In short… Serbia: Bulgaria: In Bulgaria citizens of the EU, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA can stay in the country visa-free for 90 days. If you come from another country you need to arrange a visa in your own country (they cannot be obtained at the border!)

Turkey: Most visitors may enter Turkey without a visa, or by easily buying a "sticker visa" at the airport or border-crossing point. Have the exact amount of euros or US dollars (or, for UK passport holders, GB pounds, no other currencies are allowed...)—in cash!—to pay for your visa.

Also check if you need a visa for the countries you will pass on the trip to Serbia, Bulgaria and Turkey if you travel by train/bus/car/ bike…

About passport and id-card.

It is wise to check if you should arrange a new passport. Be sure your passport is valid for at least six months from the date you enter Turkey or you may not be admitted. EU citizens can travel in Bulgaria and Turkey with identity cards, but be aware that you might cross countries on your way to join biketour for which you need a passport.
