JIPEY, biketour is on its way again. I had a hard time coming - no sleep in the last night before due to last minute erparations and then the full night bus from warsaw - no sleep again. so my first day was a bit blurry. 

this online diary will contain texts taken from our tour diary written on the road. although it seems like i am the one to put them online, the writing was an community efford, every day is reported by someone else.

we started in the bike city of lithuania, the city with a bike factory and a bike museum, where we did our official start after visiting the museum. media was there to record joaos and vita opening words, but we could not drag them to the action around the corner. they have a good law  in the city, that every road build needs a bikepath next to it, but much too often there is no money... the result are really shitty bikepaths with trees and traffic signs growing on them. we marked those spots with a green question mark.

we were around 15 people, among them 5 foreigners and 3 kids, aging 6 to 8 !!! very nice to have kids on the tour, riding their own bikes, sometimes being pushed but doing most on their own. they really enjoyed riding with us, and brought a lot of laughter and movement onto the tour.

on the sun was there with us as well, almost too much. she made quite somepeople not visit the "hill of crosses", the biggest accumulation of crosse i ever saw.
