Tour diary

The first day was uphill, the second day was down, it all went a bit downhill from there...

 Biketour loves hills, but only those that point downwards. Following a day of relentless climbing to the beautiful Zelencovac, we awoke to the even more beautiful thought of 85km of downhill! :) Shame then that our wake up call was to be provided by the not so harmonius singing of Tiho (sorry bud!) Once our nerves were settled by a quick tour around the park we pointed our sore behinds towards Zelenkovac and on our way we were.

 Many things go through your mind while hurtling down a hill at ridiculous speeds, like how flys can magically fly straight into your eye at the worst possible moment or if you left the gas on. I was spared these thoughts thanks my demonically posessed trailer trying everything it could to wobble me into a big pile of roadkill. I survived, obviously, and passed along the road lined with CDs for sale and onto our first "Tito" mountain and lunch at the lake. A freezing dip and a couple of soggy sandwiches later we were back on the road and following a young Vrbas river upstream. After 85km the only obstacle in our path was a hill not normally seen outside a military fortification. Up we went anyway and our night was spent at the lovely hotel Karolinka, sounds nice but we were on the grass out the back. :( Biketour's not made of money after all, at least not yet...
